Medical Biller/Coder  

We are seeking a full and part-time position for qualified Medical Biller/Coder. Needs to be efficient, accurate, hardworking and a team player. Must have experience verifying insurance, filing claims, payment posting, credentialing, and working appeal/denials. Checking practitioners’ documentation for accuracy will be a liaison between administration and outsourced medical billing companies and able to follow up with insurance companies in regard to denials/payments. Partner with the Clinic Manager to follow up with patients’ insurance eligibility, co-pays, referrals, and authorizations. Strong communication skills and friendly personality. 

Requirements: 

3 years medical billing experience (to include charge capture, claims handling, payment posting, claim appeals/disputes)  

Excellent communication and organizational skills 

Strong attention to detail 

Familiarity with medical billing and collection practices 

Experience with electronic medical record systems and other healthcare information systems.  

Certification in medical coding or billing is a plus but not required.  

Job Type: Part-time and Full time 

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour

ICD-10: 5 years (Preferred)

On-Call Dosing Nurse

LPN/RN

On-Call position is available at our Hilo and Honolulu substance abuse treatment clinic.

Must be available to work 5:00am – 12:30pm, 1-2 days a month and as needed.  Responsibilities include dispensing and managing inventory of medication. Interact with patients, medical, financial and clinical staff.  Current Hawaii Nursing License required. Computer experience and friendly disposition necessary.  EOE
