Record turnout!
With more than 30 providers and doctors, public officials, case workers, nurses, and community members, we joined together to create an ongoing network of referrals, creating an alliance against stigma. With more than 82 attendees, it was a complete success!
During this dinner, the presentations dispelled several myths about methadone and participants learned that methadone is an evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder as opposed to a mere drug replacement.
Next event in Honolulu during the second week of August 2019. More than 200 expected!

I think its great that Ku Aloha pulled the Jilo community together, to work as one force and embrace thr community. Hawaii is diiferent in the aspect that Hawaiuan people are grounded in the culture of sharing and caring-aloha spirit. Its time to show the rest of the world the healing and spiritual growth of aloha- go Ku aloha Ola Mau!
